Why I Do This Work

I believe life is made up of extraordinary moments — from the declaration of lasting love in welcoming of a new soul, to the final meaningful farewell to a cherished one. Often people feel confined by scripted services that don’t reflect who they really are. I became a celebrant because I have an unwavering passion for human connection and genuine storytelling. Coming from a Christian background, I strongly appreciate the power of tradition and faith. However my professional ethos is one of absolute inclusivity and respect. I honour all beliefs, backgrounds and personal philosophies, ensuring that every ceremony — whether spiritual, non-religious or somewhere in between — is authentic and welcoming to everyone involved. My professional background in Special Needs Education and Teaching English as a Foreign Language have equipped me with exceptional skills in clear, patient communication, deep empathy and the ability to adapt my approach to meet diverse needs. These are crucial for crafting and delivering a flawless, personalised ceremony. I see my role as a supportive co-creator, ensuring that your ceremony is perfectly paced, emotionally resonant and memorable for all the right reasons!
